A replacement conservatory roof in Didsbury can turn a flawed room into a superb extra living space that can be used for virtually any purpose.
The change can be truly life-enhancing for the homeowner, especially in an area such as Didsbury where there is a natural desire to stay, but moving to a larger house for that bit of extra space can be hugely expensive.
The enhanced conservatory roof creates that extra space, space that can be used as a home office, games room, study, movie room, home gym or for many, many other purposes.
In Didsbury, a number of replacement roof products are available, these all may appear broadly similar – they are tiled, replacement roofs that are fitted to the existing frame once the old roof has been removed.
However, we believe that as manufacturers and installers of the product we sell, we stand apart. Solid roof replacements have a number of key advantages over other products.
As a homeowner, you may have already paid out once for the conservatory – it is, therefore, important that the replacement roof works and is not further wasted money.

A couple of our recent testimonials read.
“As a former Architectural Technician, I have been associated with the building profession all my working life. In this day and age it is a tonic to come across a company that is reliable, honest and competent. I could not fault the efficiency from the first contact to the final completion. The quality of the roof system is impressive as is the workmanship and installation time.”
“Absolutely recommend PCL we had a Conservatory Roof fitted also new Residence 7 Windows and the work was carried out to a very high standard and the guys who did the work were polite and friendly and worked extremely hard and finished all the work in a week.
“First people we would call if we ever require work done to our property.”
Why do those leaving reviews value the change so much?
It is because the work does what we promise it will do – it turns the conservatory into a room that can be used all year round, it is no longer too hot when the sun shines, and too cold in winter.
The reason is because our specialist roofs replace a flawed product; glass or polycarbonate, the two materials typically used in conservatories, are unfit for purpose. They cannot regulate temperature effectively.
Changing the roof to a solid tiled roof therefore instantaneously fixes this issue.
The extra living space can be used for a wide range of purposes.
Some keep it as a relaxing space, but others turn the room into a home office, a gym, a games room, arts and crafts room, somewhere for the kids – or any one of thousands more uses.
The conservatory effectively becomes a superb extension and so has great versatility – with a classy finish internally you can also easily change use as your needs change. It might be a playroom for some years but then become the home office.
It is simply a superb extra living space, and who doesn’t value that?
Upgrading the conservatory roof is one of those home improvements that make the house better but also make financial sense.
Each and every year, there will be financial benefits to be enjoyed – these can be around £200 per annum on a typical property according to independent research.
And, if you ever look to sell, the work will often have paid for itself – and in an area of Manchester such as Didsbury, this is even more likely to be the case with quality property in high demand.
Any would-be buyer is getting a great additional room and not a conservatory they are likely to see only as a problem, perhaps a problem they think they need to remove.
Externally, conservatory roofs don’t typically look the most attractive of products, do they? The glass or polycarbonate definitely doesn’t blend in with the rest of the property.
However, this is rectified when a replacement roof is installed, because the roofs are available in a wide range of styles and subtle colours and so – whatever the style of your Didsbury property – the conservatory will now blend in.
Internally too, the finish will be classy with features such as spotlights keeping the room bright and warm, but also more versatile.
One huge benefit of this system is that it can be fitted to any conservatory frame because, as the name implies, it is the lightest roof available.
The tiles are hard wearing, durable and beautiful, they come with a long-term guarantee, and yet they are light enough to sit on any style of conservatory once the old roof has been removed and recycled.
As the testimonials demonstrate, we take care of all paperwork and our roofs are fully approved.
You can buy with complete confidence, knowing that you will have no issues when you come to sell.
The work is also quick to complete, typically taking just three days in total. We will also strive to cause as little disruption to your daily routine as possible – we appreciate that nobody wants to have builders in for longer than is necessary, even very polite, professional builders.
We have a wide range of tile options.
Extralight are the lightest replacement roof tile, they are seven times lighter than traditional roofing materials and yet can withstand the harshest of weather conditions. They have a remarkable 40-year weatherproof guarantee.
Tapco are made from A-rated fire composite slate, realism created through the use of moulds of real slate.

Didsbury is an area of Manchester with a population of around 27,000, it is located to the south of the city centre.
Didsbury was actually part of Lancashire historically and its history dates back all the way to the 13th century, back then as a small hamlet.
The area was largely rural until the mid-19th century and then grew, as so much of the northwest, in part as a result of the Industrial Revolution. It formerly became part of Manchester in 1904.
One notable moment in Didsbury’s history was Bonnie Prince Charlie crossing the Mersey at Didsbury in 1745 on the Jacobite March from Manchester to Derby – and then again on the retreat.
